Farm Bandi Barnyard Millet comes from traditional farms where grains are grown with patience, not speed. Known as Sanwa or Samak in Hindi, Kuthiraivali in Tamil and Oodalu in Telugu and Kannada, it is a light, quick-cooking whole grain and a favourite for vrat (fasting) meals.
How to use: Rinse well (soaking for 30 minutes is optional), then cook like rice (about 1 cup millet to 2 cups water). Ideal for vrat khichdi, samak rice pulao, upma or kheer.
